Sahasrara’s  Power Yoga & Vinyasa flow 200 Hrs yoga teacher training is affiliated by Yoga Alliance USA. The course is a combination of powerful power yoga & creative Vinyasa flow to build a strong foundation. 

Vinyasa flow is a creative framing of postures in a special way, you will learn to create your own flow and phase of the class. Power Yoga is a fitness based powerful sequence helps to tune the body & improves stamina.

You will get a deep understanding alignment, breath work, dristhi, vinyasa, bandhas, yogic chanting & eight limbs of yoga. Ashtanga yoga designed based on the yoga sutras 2nd-century yoga book written by Pathanjali founder of yoga.

By the end of the course, students will be able to teach primary series ashtanga yoga and also capable to design vinyasa flow class suitable to all levels with safety precaution

RYT 200  Yoga Teacher Training Curriculum 

Syllabus

Asana: Sun salutations in Hatha yoga, Ashtanga styles. Standing postures sitting postures core postures, backbends, arm balance, inversion postures, prone and supine postures. Hatha & vinyasa creative flow, introduction to partner yoga, yin yoga and prenatal yoga.

Alignment: Safe in and out of the posture. Modification of asanas for beginners, intermediate & advanced according to requirement. The key technique of pose, benefits, and limitations of asanas, Using props and bricks for supporting pose. Nine breathing techniques. 

Shatkarma: Yogic cleansing practices in daily mornings Jalaneti & Sutraneti.

Yoga Anatomy: Functional anatomy of bones, muscles, and joints. Functioning of heart, lungs, digestive system and endocrine glands.

Teaching Methodology: Correction techniques, the role of yoga teacher, creative teaching techniques. 

Practicum: Framing of your own class, teaching under the supervision of teacher’s. 

Yoga Philosophy: Origin & transformation of yoga, four streams of yoga, Ashtanga & Hatha yoga, seven chakras, Pancha koshas, Pancha pranas, four ashrams, the lifestyle of yoga, ethics for yoga teachers. Introduction to Ayurveda and Chanting.   

Mudras: Seals practised with hands and fingers to support smooth flow of energy in the subtle body.

Bandhas: Jalandhar bandha, Udyana bandha, Mula bandha, and Maha bandhas are energy locks inside the body.

Eligibility: 3 – 6 months practice without major surgeries.
